Elizabeth Shuffler Moore returned to the firm in 2010 after spending three years in New York, where she was the managing attorney of a large judicial foreclosure practice. Mrs. Moore received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Charleston in 1996 and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina in 1998. Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Moore was employed as an archivist and records analyst with the South Carolina Department of Archives and History. Mrs. Moore received her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Mrs. Moore was a scholarship recipient and served as Associate Justice of the Moot Court Bar, having earned the distinction of best-written brief in the school’s annual Moot Court competition. Mrs. Moore earned CALI awards in Insurance and in Mediation, Counseling, and Negotiating.

 

Prior to first joining the firm's foreclosure practice in 2004, Mrs. Moore practiced complex commercial litigation with a large defense firm, where her areas of concentration included general business litigation, banking litigation, franchise and distribution litigation, and class action defense. Mrs. Moore also served as interim law clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. She is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, and New York.
