Sam Phillips began the practice of law in 1999 when he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, he worked as the assistant editor of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal and was a member of the Order of the Barristers, John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court, and the Moot Court Bar. Upon graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Jasper M. Cureton of the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Prior to law school, Mr. Phillips served as an Armor and Cavalry Officer in the United States Army and he worked for Emro Marketing Company as a district manager in Georgia and South Carolina. Mr. Phillips practices in the Firm's litigation and appellate divisions.
