Janet B. Haigler has engaged in the practice of law since receiving her Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1992. Ms. Haigler served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable E. C. Burnett, III, Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit for South Carolina. Ms. Haigler is the managing attorney for the volume based creditor representation in bankruptcy matters for the Firm. Ms. Haigler also has significant experience in Bankruptcy Trustee representation and commercial litigation issues.
In 2006, Ms. Haigler was certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Law. Ms. Haigler served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina. Ms. Haigler was named one of the top attorneys in South Carolina on the Super Lawyers list for 2009 and 2010. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association.
Ms. Haigler was a former Professor at Columbia Junior College where she taught Bankruptcy and Legal Research and Writing for the Professional Center for Paralegal Studies. She served as chairman of the several committees for the South Carolina Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar.
